The actuator on my 2012 BMW 328i (F30) has failed and I have decided to fix it myself. This is not a trivial task, but doable. There are many videos online on how to remove the door panel and access the drive. Now the problem for me was the part that BMW is priced over $220. Since my car is quite old, I really didn't want to spend that much money and decided to look for a non-genuine part. And I'm glad I did, this one is about $30. This particular drive didn't have any reviews, but I decided to give it a try. Eventually if it didn't work I would use Amazon's return policy and just send it back. If you think about it, BMW parts are mostly made in China, just like this one. In many cases, they simply stamp the BMW logo and sell it for a higher price. The quality is excellent, after installation there were no problems. Also, it works great with the comfort access I have in my car. All in all, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Saved almost $200.
