It just so happened that the motherboard from the distant 2022 on socket 1150 flew. Since there are no more of them, I had to upgrade to the latest platform, at that time it was KabyLake. I was unlucky enough to break right before the release of the new CoffeeLake, so I took the processor with an unlocked multiplier - with a reserve for the future. However, instead of a gaming computer, I assembled a stove on which you can safely boil water, because the processor temperatures reach 70-80 degrees, moreover, this is all with a Noctua cooler and expensive ThermalGrizzly paste. However, temperatures jump like this only when using TurboBoost, but if the screaming cooler is annoying from time to time, you can turn off TurboBoost of the processor in the BIOS. For normal and quiet work, this is quite a good option. It's clear that the point is in the thermal interface under the processor cover, so scalping and replacing with liquid metal is simply a must if overclocking is needed. Scalping in a vise is dangerous, because you can easily break the processor. But there are plenty of "KabyLake Delidding Tools" for this, which will allow even a beginner to do it, but it will still deprive the guarantee. In general, the processor is excellent, pleases with performance in games and at work. I don’t use the built-in video, but it’s unlikely that it will be possible to play demanding games on it if you don’t buy a discrete video card. Speaking of the video card: the GTX 1080ti opens up to 100%, the processor in games is loaded by 70-100%, the video card is 100%.
