Excellent cable. My laptop only has 1 USB 3.0 port, so I use these cables to reduce or eliminate signal degradation from my USB tools from my powered USB 3.0 hub. Everything works fine and all my connected devices are recognized immediately. ATTENTION: I originally wanted to use one of these Cable Matters SuperSpeed active USB 3.0 cables to extend the reach of my laptop's USB 3.0 port. BAD IDEA. When I tried this, my laptop couldn't reliably fix the powered hub. He fell repeatedly and found a powered hub. This was very annoying, so I just used a longer plain USB 3.0 cable to connect my laptop to the hub, and then used Cable Matters SuperSpeed USB 3.0 active cable to connect the hub to external devices .
