Review on Corsair Void RGB Elite USB Gaming Headset - Premium Quality with 7.1 Surround Sound (Carbon) by Marquel Rubio

I would like to start this review by mentioning that I am hearing impaired so sound quality is very important to me. I ordered this headset for the sole purpose of replacing another one with very poor microphone quality. At first everything seemed to be working fine, except that I had to turn up the volume on my computer. The mic worked great, the sound quality was good, maybe it was a bit lacking in bass, and the headset fit was adjustable enough to be incredibly comfortable. Then the sound started to go away. I will reiterate that I have hearing problems and will mention that it is predominantly the right ear (35-65 for connoisseurs). And here the sound in the right speaker began to drop out after a week of normal use. It almost EXACTLY replicated the condition of my ears in real life and while that is an achievement in itself it was incredibly frustrating as headphones are the only way to really enjoy music or anything without a lot of explanations or subtitles. The cables are ok, the USB is ok, the headset itself is ok. Everything seemed fine, and then you turn on the headset and turn on something. The right ear is completely silent for the most part (to me at least), while the left ear produces a mid-range tone even when set incredibly high. The order was placed on July 26, 2018 and they failed in less than ten days. I'm a huge Corsair fan but I can't recommend this headset and would advise anyone to get something more reliable.
