this chair is HEAVY, almost 36 kg. If you have a wooden floor, no problem. However, if you use it on carpet, you should definitely get an office chair mat. Without this mat, you will have a hard time rolling this beast. Everything about this chair is designed to last, even with heavy use. It took a little longer to assemble than a standard computer chair, just because of the weight of the parts. I was really impressed with the thickness of the metal parts used. The pillows are very dense, at first I didn't think it would be comfortable, but after sitting at my computer for several hours and working on various projects, I changed my mind. My chair came with no instructions other than how to assemble it. A small Allen key will not work. I suggest you use the longer one. There is only one hard-to-get socket head screw for the armrest. The longer Allen key makes tightening much easier. otherwise I have no complaints. ---- UPDATE ---- about a year ago (early 2017) one of the wheels came loose from the base. it was still stuck there, but it was moving all the time. I later discovered that the wheel carrier was only nailed on one end on the inside. in the end it was doomed. I've made several attempts to fix the "hole" in the wheel myself (the plastic wheel itself was fine). After giving up I tried replacing the entire lower chair assembly but they seem to come in different sizes(?). Because of ONE WHEELS, the chair is completely unusable. ) chair failed in the second year of ownership. but this one did. I tried to contact "Flash Furniture" to solve this problem with the base. The base is the only thing wrong with the chair, but their website support links lead to nothing but a 404. ---- UPDATE 2 ---- I found another base for this chair through another company . BUT due to incomplete welds the chair BROKEN AGAIN! and I fell uncontrollably to the ground and hit my head. I'm adding a picture of the base under the chair that the hydraulic thing is attached to. The tacks failed and the metal ripped off, sending me to the ground at an odd angle. DO NOT BUY THIS CHAIR OR OTHER FURNITURE FROM THIS COMPANY!
