Works with laptop case, light and USB-C to USB-C cable

This hub is very light and portable. Compared to the previous USB-C hub I bought, I can use this product with a laptop case. I can't understand what the DC connector is for, but the rest of the USB hubs are fast enough for me. Update: One of the USB ports is now not working (3 weeks after purchase).
