This was a much better price than the overpriced Breville. The pizza cooks evenly, yes the center of the pizza cooks just as much as the edges (of course the Breville Smart Oven is AMAZING!). I have used this stone for other frozen foods, breaded or breaded seafood, Mexican dishes. In the near future I plan to try cookies and homemade bread. I didn't even use the pans that came with the oven because it's so versatile! I don't wait to warm up my food with it. I put food on it, put it in the oven and then turn it on. I think it's best to let it warm up in the oven and I also let it cool in the oven. I'm not saying you can't do it differently by waiting for preheating, but the way I do it is convenient and I've found I don't have to cook food as long, so it saves energy by using heating in the preheating step heating during cooking. . Haven't tried the bacon yet but I suspect it will cook well. The stone is slowly getting its "spice". I just dissolve food and wash it with water to avoid soap absorption. I have stone bread pans and a deep pie pan, they really help prepare dishes with a nice crispy crust without sticking after a good use, so I love the stains that will appear on your stone, they are a sign of good cooking and Will make anything cooked so good that it gets better with age! Excellent purchase!
