This TV/monitor mount has a BIG manufacturing defect. Long story short, you need to remove the part that pivots left to right/attached to the mounting bar and turn it upside down (as shown). The alignment of the mounting holes is wrong when delivered. Luckily I had a spare hex wrench on hand, but be prepared to have a wrench that's slightly larger than the wrenches that came with it. If this step is ignored, your TV/monitor will likely fall and break on impact. Otherwise, this mount is SECURE. It feels very sturdy once you set it up. It only took me about 20-25 minutes to put everything together. Note: I have seen some negative reviews on this that mention the bar was not manufactured correctly. These people obviously didn't read the instructions. You don't pull the pole piece all the way into the clamp, but tighten it until the holes are pointing straight/in the direction you want the TV to be facing, and then tighten the small hex screws on the pole and turn it tight. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE SPREADING DISINFORMATION.
