First of all, at this price point, don't expect significant accuracy from a scientific instrument. I definitely didn't expect that, so this review is not a disappointment with the device, just direct feedback. I purchased this item as an easy and inexpensive option to get a general overview of a particular area and decide if more precise equipment or more thoughtful conditioning is needed. The instructions for the product clearly state that there is a difference in its accuracy: ±2 degrees for temperature and ±5% for hygrometer (humidity) measurements. These are the main purposes of my purchase and for my needs they work well enough to give me a general idea of the room. This item also has a clock and alarm but I don't use them. The device displays an easy-to-read classic LCD, the temperature is the largest and most visible number at the top of the screen, and the humidity percentage is secondary (same size but smaller) on the screen. The clock appears about half the size of the other characters in the lower-left corner of the screen. It does its job well enough, comes with its own battery (which is said to last at least a year) and is big enough to be easily seen from a reasonable distance (15ft/5m) but discreet enough not to overdo it to draw attention. hanging on the wall by itself and relatively unobtrusively (also has a standalone "stand" for the desktop display).
