Great product but high price. Well if I were her I would jump at the opportunity to purchase this cable from one of these Marketplace sellers. Chances are you can find a good deal (like me, 14.99 like new) and not have to struggle with using a dremel. For what it is, it's definitely worth it. NOW I'm telling you people. My component cable can transmit a 1080p signal to my TV. I thought the difference between the 1080p component and HDMI would be noticeable. And frankly, it doesn't make much of a difference. I'm using a 42" Philips 42ta648bx 1080p with HDMI. HDMI has a small advantage in terms of graphics as it's a bit sharper. BUT HDMI makes a big difference in playback. DVD. HDMI allows DVD upscaling up to 1080i It's the difference between day and night now So instead of buying a zoom DVD player just visit this page from time to time to find great deals on the market Don't buy it in bulk The price not worth it. Oh, and as for the sound, only if you really need to connect your home theater system to it. I'd still recommend saving the money and just getting a new HDMI that has an HDMI output.
