Revainrating 4 out of 5

TLDR: 4 stars out of 5; Would buy again.

TLDR: 4 out of 5 stars; Would buy again. I bought this keyboard to use with my new iPad Air 2020. I chose it for the flexibility of the screen layout and better battery life than the iPad so I don't have anything to worry about. expires first. Overall, this is a worthwhile purchase, although there are things that could be done better to improve the user experience. UPDATES: You can left-click on the trackpad by clicking on the bar. You can right-click with two spread fingers. I bought an Apple Pencil and the case works great with it. The hinge is actually better for storage than sticking it to the iPad. I said there are no duplicate keys in my original review, but that has changed with the iPad OS update. You must enable key repeat by opening settings, then clicking ACCESS > KEYBOARD and enabling key repeat. Pros: The hinge holds the iPad in place very well and certainly supports all positions shown in the ad. In the laptop position, you can tilt the screen back nearly 180 degrees and it stays in place. The battery really lasts a day. Rubber feet feel nice and keep the system on almost any surface. The backlit keyboard makes typing in low light much more enjoyable, and I even use it for fun during the day. The function keys also feel very comfortable. Cons: The keys on the keyboard are small, so some people find it difficult to bind them quickly. There are no drainage holes on the bottom of the keyboard, so you are more likely to spill something on it. The outer shell is made of hard plastic and the iPad slides into the tented position. A "unique trackpad" is a regular, very small touchpad. Mine doesn't have the advertised 'right click' and 'left click' buttons. Multi-finger gestures are also successful or not; Sometimes a three-finger swipe will switch apps, sometimes not. Neutral: This case is made of hard plastic and has no drop protection. Because of the placement of the volume and power buttons, there's no good way to boost the clip in the top left corner. Because of this, this corner sometimes pops up. It's not the manufacturer's fault, it's just Apple's physics and design. The case doesn't have pass-through charging like the Magic Keyboard, so you'll have to charge the keyboard and iPad separately. But that doesn't matter much, because the keyboard's battery lasts for several days. One last note, it's hard, but it has to be done. You couldn't use it as a laptop if the keyboard wasn't heavy enough to hold the iPad in place. This makes using it as a tablet cumbersome at times, and since there's no pass-through charging it would have been nice to have had a detachable screen so I didn't have to slide the iPad out to make it lighter. Pros: Long battery life Very comfortable keyboard Excellent backlight Rigid hinge allows use as a laptop from almost any angle Cons: No drop protection Small keys on keyboard No drop protection
