Update 10/21/18: The seller endorsed his product and now I am happy and recommend this product. It looks beautiful, runs quietly and is easy to use. While I think this fan looks great, I have two major issues with it. First I ordered it with a lower link in a special length. It wasn't easy to figure out how to do it. I shouldn't have wasted my time. Only one standard length lower link was supplied. Second, the fan is quite noisy. This makes a constant hum that gets louder as the fan speed increases. The owner's manual states that a 24-hour "break-in" period is allowed, after which most noise associated with a new fan will disappear. No, it worked for me all night, 3 nights in a row, and now it's as loud as when it was first turned on. The manual also states that "the manufacturer's warranty covers actual faults that may occur, NOT minor discomfort like hearing the engine running. All of the electric motors are more or less audible.” This is the fourth house I've owned and the fourth ceiling fan I've installed. All of the first three were essentially silent. I guess I should be glad I didn't get a longer lower stem as that would probably make the fan louder.
