Review on Thermalright AXP90R Low Profile CPU Air Cooler - Compact 47mm Height πŸ”₯ with TL-9015 92mm PWM Fan, 4 Heat Pipes - Designed for AMD AM4 by Zachary Greene

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The scope of delivery of the Thermalright AXP90R does not include a mounting plate!

Good: 1. It is relatively inexpensive.2. The basic design of the radiator is good. Cons: 1. Performance is poor. Worse than the Noctua NH-L9A it was meant to replace. Slightly inferior to the standard Wraith Stealth that came with the Ryzen 5 5600G. The performance was so bad that I reassembled the heatsink 3 more times to make sure I wasn't making a critical mistake. I even tested it against the Stealth Ghost.2. Instructions: It was a tiny folded piece of paper with 3 diagrams none of which helped.3. Mounting plate not included. It is not possible to use the standard AM4 mounting plate that comes with your motherboard. Conclusion: don't buy it. Pay a few bucks more for its siblings, which come with a backplate. The AXP90R borders on defect.
