Review on USA Rawlings Chaos Youth Baseball Bat -12 Drop 1 Pc. Composite With 2 5/8 Barrel Available In Various Lengths by Tutan Hesch

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best choice for most young players

The Chaos is a fine bat. Predictable quality and performance for the money. The bat looks great. The performance beats my aluminum bat, once broken in this composite will go farther. Composite bats should be hit off of the tee at 50% power for the first 100 hits and then off of coach pitch for another 50 to 100 hits. Also, you should not use a composite in sub 50F weather. This is the main advantage to aluminum. The knob is plastic unfortunately, though the grip compares well with higher end bats. The sting is fairly forgiving. This is a competitive bat for the money. If you can still find a ADV1 from 2022 for $200 I could give that my top recommendation for top players. However, this Chaos is still my top choice under $200 and perfect for 90% of a team. I love Rawlings gloves and most of their equipment. This is the first Rawlings bat I have had that seems to be an excellent deal with little hang ups. This bat is a great choice for kids 8 to 11.

Pros
  • This is an excellent bat. Quality is great and my son says it is great to hit with.
Cons
  • The Rawlings Chaos Youth Baseball Bat is only available in certain lengths, so it may not be the right fit for all young players
