My dog is 14 years old and has started fighting like a deer with his feet slipping. I tried two different styles of boots before finding them and had success in terms of size, grip and acceptance. They're pretty easy to put on when he's lying down or when I'm standing behind him and help him balance even if he gets caught on a nail, they're stretchy enough not to bother him too much while I'm doing things adjust. A few days have passed and he still runs around a little with the strange princess, but generally they don't bother him. The grip really helps and if his feet start slipping he can correct the situation thanks to the double-sided rubber pads. They slip off if I don't tighten the strap enough, but I like how far they go because of his skinny legs. I take them off at night just to make sure the button on the strap doesn't irritate me. They haven't been washed yet and it's only been a few days so can't speak to durability but they seem to be of good quality.
