Review on πŸŒ€ Enhanced GEFU Spiralfix Spiral Cutting Device by Kate Windish

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Seems neat. There is no type.

It works well with some things and has problems with others. Dense, shorter root vegetables work well, as do beets and potatoes. Thinner vegetables like carrots and zucchini are much harder to roll. The lengths must be trimmed to fit, creating a piece of shavings each time. The crevices are difficult to clean - you need a brush or chopstick to get in there. The handle sticks out too far off center, so if you push during the spiral, a lot of torque is lost and the device tips violently from poorly distributed weight. How is it going in Germany? I thought you were master engineers? Shorten that knob! Photos of people spinning through the air must be fake. It's really not that easy. The middle pole does not hold many vegetables well, especially those that are longer than they are wide. I like the small footprint. This is a basic coil device once you get the hang of it and deal with its grip, size and key limitations on some products. In principle, every spiral device has its advantages and disadvantages. This is one of the options available. I would advise the buyer to try different models depending on how often you use them and what you are looking for. For example, it does not cut the cores of pears and apples like other horizontal models. If you pre-slice them they won't catch on the center lip and won't move unless you apply a lot of pressure to make thicker slices and as I said it's a lot of wrist work due to the loss of grip torque . I love it and it's kind of a pain in the patooty. However, my salads are prettier (see my posted photos). My noodles and frills are more interesting in dishes. IUD uniformity varies by product, as I mentioned above, but I eat more foods and even bought one for parents of a diabetic child who are carb-conscious. I think it would be great fun for kids even without any dietary issues. This device is faster than the larger devices with 4 suction legs for this purpose. An added bonus is that the cutting edges are hidden so little fingers are protected so they can join in the spiraling fun. I think this is important because children are more likely to appreciate and consume foods they have interacted with while cooking (under supervision). Special note: This is only developed in Germany. It is made in China. Additionally, BPA-free options still contain EA-affecting endocrine disruptors and other additives. Polyethylenes also have their contradictions. I ask that you do not heat or heat the plastic to prevent these additives from entering your products. I hand wash this and many other appliances, despite microwave and dishwasher meltdown ratings, for example.
