Dog weighs 10 pounds and fits comfortably in a basket with room for our sport t-shirts and leash. You can use tethers on all two to four sides of the basket so your dog doesn't stick out on one side. Backpack straps have a modest design if you have a large shirt backpack size that will suit you better. I'm an XXL and felt a bit tight with the straps in the loosest setting. The easy-to-install Velcro straps used to attach the basket to the handlebars are well thought-out and practical. Only time will tell how long it takes to change straps. Haven't had to wash yet. It looks like it would be easy to disassemble and wash the parts by hand.
