In overall, I am pleased with the purchase, as I have for a very long time desired to set up a storage facility for various types of files, including media files. The items were packaged with bubble wrap, and while I've heard that this isn't often the case, the company made an effort to ensure that it was. By the way, it is quiet enough for an HDD; I expected the worst, but in general it is no louder than my other 500 GB HDD. The hard drive itself is working properly; the verification program did not show any problems with sectors. There is, of course, a low read speed in some places, but for such volumes everything is within the normal range, and it will fit for trash. The only thing that is included in the kit is the hard drive itself; I was under the impression that they would also include a sata cable, but they did not; therefore, if you do not already have one, you should go out and purchase one right immediately. In the past, I purchased an HDD with a lower capacity and installed it there; I expected to see it there as well, but sadly, that is the reason for only four stars.
