It worked fine for a few months. The biggest problem I had was this: (1) It causes the attached printer to become the default printer. It's not what I wanted as I bought it for an additional photo printer and still use a nearby and connected laser printer for 95% of my printing needs. Linksys Support has confirmed that there is no workaround for this. (2) You cannot control the printer status through the print server, so you lose the ability to control the ink levels. But after a few months my WPS54G decided to stop working. It will no longer connect wirelessly and any attempt to do so or access the internal setup web screens will result in the WPS54G being completely blocked. I spent hours trying to fix the error myself and the only result was that I saw other people's comments posted on other websites having the same unresolved issue. I spent a few hours with Linksys tech support only to either hang up or disconnect twice before the issue was resolved. Complaint to the support team who sent me to Sr. tech support only to wait about 45 minutes before giving up. I will say that I received a call from a good customer service representative from the US. this is trying to solve but that was three days ago and there is still no solution. I know this unit is defective and needs to be replaced under warranty, but it has taken more than four days to get a return authorization or diagnosis and there is no resolution in sight. It doesn't really make sense to spend that much time on it (maybe Linksys hopes so), but I'd like it to be some kind of principled decision for now. Re: WPS54G V2.0 purchased in December 2007.
