We use silica bags of all sizes from this brand and in a variety of places. I use a few to throw over a pair of shoes that I take off, especially on a wet or rainy day. In a drawer with stacks of paper to keep paper crisp and dry. For animals: dry cat food containers, chicken feed buckets, chicken feeders. For our food: in products like muesli, in half-open bags with chips, biscuits, crackers. In containers for coffee and tea. No more wet or soft chips! I recently discovered that these silica packets work wonders for ice cream cones. (The cone box you buy to make ice cream cones at home). The first pack of cones I bought went soggy two days after opening even though it was in a ziplock bag. The next time I bought ice cream cones, I put them in a zippered pocket and added one of those pockets. The cones were perfect and a brilliant creeper! I strongly recommend using them. I also used them to dry a wet cell phone. I had my phone in the back pocket of my jeans with the charging port facing up (not good when it's raining and your pocket is open and tucked in), well water got into the phone and it was acting weird. I immediately turned off the phone and padlocked it with a few packets of silica, left it for 24 hours. The phone worked great!
