Are they pretty? Yes! They look nice but if you are looking for real pillowcases then this is not for you. The fabric they are made of appears to have nothing to do with sheets or linen. It looks more like light cotton sewn into a children's summer dress than the crisp coolness of "grandmother's sheets". I would hesitate to give these pillowcases to an overnight guest because they look more like fabrics used to make bed sheets for cartoons or children's characters. I always thought felt was always inferior but expensive - kids deserve quality sheets. too much of! So if you're just looking for looks give this a go, but if you're looking for crisp, cool, smooth cotton sheets that will make you sigh as you walk across those hot summer nights, this is definitely not it. Such a shame. If they were more like a sheet I would probably buy two more sets.
