Very bright for night and outdoor use. I WAS SURPRISED. AT 6-10 FEET THIS LED SET LIGHTS CLEARLY WIDE/PRINTS ON GLASS AS WELL AS ON PAINTED SURFACES, well photographed within range (without filter of course). Normally we need to run our alternator for 110VAC lighting. In night field use, this application typically requires generators/sets as listed (the genset rattle and noise was completely absent). I tried a simple 5VDC/DC power supply (I used a small, optional 5000mAh pocket power supply!). We walked 1.5 hours. only, but the power supply was completely sufficient and I only heard "crickets and night noises".
