When we moved in together I swapped out my extension cords for splitter

In the last few months I have purchased seven extensions, kept six and three are of this model. Six outlets is often the right number. Plus USB. The cord is almost 10 feet, the plug is flat. The sockets are spaced far enough apart to allow the use of bulky plugs. The rectangular form factor follows the golden ratio exactly - or at least close enough - that it lays flat on the ground and doesn't tip over like some long 6x1 rectangular splitters, which I won't tolerate. Not to mention negative? The cable is long but tough. For some reason, extension cords often seem flexible, but extension cords are always thick and stiff. I personally think it's because the extension cord and power cord folks are in a year-long feud that needs to end. Also, the plug is flat but not angled, so in typical American two-jack wiring it must be placed at the bottom (towards the ground pin, to be exact) of two jacks. A consequence of this is that you cannot use two of these strips in the same typical double socket. But if you don't try, this should work for you.

Pros
  • . β˜…Spade Extensionβ˜…: Unlike a traditional extension cord, the spade allows the 14AWG power cord to lie flat against the wall instead of sticking out. You'll find it easier to plug in in tight spaces or behind furniture.
Cons
  • Slightly torn
