Review on 🎨 Indigo Shibori Dye Kit with Natural Ingredients by Kelly Caballes

Update: More than a week later, I filled a pot of dye with hot water, stirred it, and it's still coloring great (see the pic of the bandana I added!). I bought this as a gift after using it myself because I liked it so much! I love that this is natural indigo grown in the USA. The instructions were really helpful and detailed - it's easy to do but you have to pay attention to the details. I found the vat worked best when I used a stainless steel pot so I could get it to a nice hot temperature before adding the indigo, lime, and ferrous sulfate. I also let the vat sit for about four hours before coloring (stir every half hour or an hour or so) and then let the yeast sit for an hour or two before putting my pieces in. The shibori folding patterns are great and my friend adapted them. Tortoiseshell for a t-shirt that looked great. Got a great dark color after three dives :) Thin ready-to-dye cotton (pfd) is especially good for shibori.
