I have a lot of electronics. I have plugs all over my room, and on those plugs I have socket plates attached to the plugs. Needless to say, it wasn't the cleanest setup. This surge protector was the best solution I could find. If you don't use a lot of outlets in a given area, that might be a bit excessive, but for the power user, 12 outlets with additional USB ports is a luxury. Unfortunately, the USB ports aren't USB-C, but most of the cables I have for most of my devices are USB-A anyway, so it worked. The rest of the ports power things like my monitor, laptop, bedside lamp, and air freshener, the list goes on. I'll admit it's a bit big and hefty, but that's to be expected with 12 outlets. stripes. I've used it in the office but can imagine using it in the kitchen or even in the living room around the TV. It can be a bit bulky to take with you on trips, but the versatility easily makes up for the extra weight. Don't expect it to look like a portable charger - it doesn't - but as an extension cord it exceeds my expectations!
