May 2020 I tried several expensive and inexpensive PC conference mics before coming across these mics at Revain. You have two main options. 1) cardioid (e.g. directional) and 2) omnidirectional. I have several PCs that require microphones, so I ordered one of each (both with volume controls (I found the volume control wasn't really needed, IMHO). Both were just plug and play for my Windows 10 PC. Places Just make sure you use the appropriate PC or app controls to select a new mic for your setup. The sound of both mics is truly and amazingly exceptional. I have other mics, in-ears, lavalier mics etc.) No kidding, with my PC and Zoom as the app, the sound is loud, crystal clear and very realistic. Tried switching between cardioid and omni. Omnidirectional gives a bit more "presence" sound and sounds better when you want to capture different sound sources (e.g. several people talking at the same time who are not sitting next to each other). I've found that the cardioid results in slightly better overall sound just by sitting at my desk and speaking into the mic from about 24 inches away (the mic is pointed at me). Although I could detect a small difference, both microphones are really exceptional!
