Well worth it despite some unavoidable downsides!

Received a few days ago and so far so good! I'll probably have to update this when I use it, so this should only be a first impression: 1. Beeps: It beeps once when you put it on its base, once when you press a button, and once when you press it press the desired temperature is reached. (This is a plus because others emit a louder beep when the temperature is reached.) So overall the machine isn't as quiet.2. The buttons are not that sensitive, so you need to press a little harder.3. It takes very little time to reheat and even longer to cook.4. The real-time temperature display disappears fairly quickly even if the temperature has not yet stabilized. Therefore, you need to press the main button often to make sure the temperature has stabilized. Finally, at the minimum volume, the temperature setting of 170 stops at 183. So you need to adjust by setting 10 degrees lower.5. You can change the temperature in 8-degree increments by long-pressing the button, or in 2-degree increments by quickly pressing the button.6. The way to use it is not that intuitive. Basically you have to press the heating function first before you can use the temperature increase or keep warm functions. And that means another beep. So yes, I am very happy with my purchase. Even though I bought the ones that cost $40.
