Reliable and Affordable Carbon Needle with Tricky Clip

The $22 I paid for this needle is hard to beat. This, combined with the strong and stiff carbon tube construction, makes it worth it. I ended up trimming the length a bit to save even more grams, which is easy to do (just be careful). The only thing I don't like is the collar on the frame. On my first ride I thought it was tight, but hit hard on a rocky section of trail and the yoke lowered further with a disconcertingly loud click. like "crack". The angle of my seat also changed, so I had to adjust on the track. The problem is that once the clip is actually installed in the carbon support, it doesn't move. So you have to give it some juice to loosen it so you can then adjust the front screw and then tighten the back (I don't have a seat with a hole so the front has to be loosened so I can turn the front screw) . If you have a hole in the saddle, this clamp is MUCH easier to adjust and probably not a problem at all. A few times on the trail but once dialed it went nowhere, price and despite the tricky clip this post is a solid buy.
