A must have if you have an aquarium

A must have for almost all types and sizes of aquarium. I installed an Aquaclear 70 filter in a 29 gallon tank and this filter is too much for this tank. I bought a 100 micron pad to reduce the flow a bit and clean the water. All your filters cannot catch the smallest particles, so you must use this mat. I cut out two pieces for my filter and change them once a month. The used one gets very dark when it gets dirty so I put it in a bleach solution overnight and it turns white again. Then I put it in the primary solution to neutralize the chemicals for a day and I'm done. You can use a part multiple times until you see the stack separate. I have a 10 gallon Betta aquarium and I use a Whisper Tank 10i filter in it. It's a little more current for a Betta, so I put a pad in as well. Sometimes you need to use two spacers if you want to slow down the current to the level you want. I cut out a larger piece than the space will fit. I put on the biological filter first and then I put this pad over it, folding the extra pad around the biological filter. The reason I do this is to secure this gasket in the filter and eliminate the possibility of water leaking out the sides of this gasket. So cut it a little bigger. I haven't tried 50 microns, but 100 microns is better to use in my opinion. If you already have enough water flow, do not cut more of the seal as this will reduce flow. With low flow, you can cut a very small short size. And all that padding lasts at least a year. If you only have one tank, then maybe a year and a half or two. If you don't want to buy this product, don't keep an aquarium, I say โ˜บโ˜ปโ˜บ
