From time to time I stumble across a feature in the device I've bought that just delights me and solves a problem I wasn't aware of. Here is a compact folding umbrella. There are many such umbrellas that open with a push of a button on the handle. But how many of them will be closed by pressing the same button? Of course, it doesn't retract either, but closes the umbrella with a "click" so that the rainwater stays INSIDE the folded umbrella. Really very smart! I've only had it a few days but it's been raining heavily here so I know this part of the umbrella works well. It's too early to tell how strong and reliable it is, but it seems well made - fiberglass fins and a few sets of internal springs to control the open/close function.
