I am writing this in response to another review that gave this one a 1 star simply because it took a long time to assemble. I almost didn't buy it because of this review - if it was that difficult to assemble I don't know if I wanted it. It took less than 5 minutes if that. You don't need any help when assembling. It's very easy. The direction was clear. Someone else complained that the black screws are hard to see because the stand is black. I don't know what to say about that. There are pre-drilled holes - you just need to line up the screw with the metal thing and screw it in. Easy. In general I like it very much. I actually got it to turn on my printer and it handled it well and I was able to put printer paper underneath. Yesterday I rearranged it a bit and put my computer monitor on top. I like it better this way - you can see a lot better and I think it's better for my posture. My only concern, and the reason I'm giving this a 3 instead of a 4 or 5, is because it could be stronger. All it takes (and I could make it myself) is either a thin wooden backing (the kind you sometimes see on bookshelves) or two small pieces of wood nailed to the backing to keep it from rocking. I don't understand why they didn't include something like this - it would cost very little to make the stand 10x stronger.
