I was pleasantly surprised that the XShot Phone Holder is such a compact device. Its spring-loaded plastic body is thick and holds tight when stretched on the phone. I agree with others, the springs could be a little softer. While I'd say picking it up with two hands is a complaint, at least you don't have to worry about your $600 phone slipping out, that's for sure! The "teeth" that hold your phone are made of rubber. and the front is a rubberized foam that protects the phone from scratches and keeps it secure. Again, don't worry about your phone falling or sliding out of this mount. The plastic body feels solid and the screws are firmly seated, all at a very light weight. The best part is that the logo is printed in such a way that when using it you are not showing any product name, which was the deciding factor in purchasing this holder among the many others. XShot holder that comes in a clear plastic bag. with a cardboard lid as shown in the photos (taken with a soda can for size reference) is a truly compact, lightweight, versatile mobile phone accessory. From full size tripods to mini tripods, sticks and monopods, grips, hangers. If it has a 1/4 inch screw, you can use this mount to attach your phone to anything to take photos and videos. Your house, your car, motorcycle helmet, RC cars, airplanes and helicopters! The possibilities are endless! As for my use I bought this holder to attach to the Neewer 1/4" foam grip which coupled with the Hapurs Bluetooth shutter control makes shooting on your phone an absolute blast! And because the XShot holder has two screw bits, the Neewer Grip can be used as a prop for your phone, making your home use much easier (watching videos, chatting, explicit photos, etc.)!Also, the 1/4" Neewer Pen supplied with a metal clip screwed into the XShot phone holder so you can put your finger in the clip and even carry the phone with both hands!The XShot was broken.It was on a phone without taking it off all the time and seems to have the high voltage the built in spring meant that one of the jaws simply snapped off. The phone has never been dropped, left in the sun, or otherwise abused and luckily was in my hand when the holder broke. I will try to replace it because the product is useful but probably a different brand as only six months of use is unforgivable. UPDATE!
