I bought this to replace another one I broke the same day it was given to me for Christmas. I have a little regret that I went to the trouble of replacing it because it is too complicated to use. This device works as intended and is quite simple. I've used it to install my iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 4s and iPhone 3g with no problems. The inner surface is covered with soft rubber. However, the inside of the clips is lined with plain plastic that isn't soft. Because of this, I would recommend storing your device in some sort of case. I was pleasantly surprised that the XShot Phone Holder is such a compact device. Its spring-loaded plastic body is thick and holds tight when stretched on the phone. I agree with others, the springs could be a little softer. While I'd say picking it up with two hands is a complaint, at least you don't have to worry about your $600 phone slipping out, that's for sure!
