After installation I turned on the band saw and heard a loud noise. I thought the guide bearing wasn't working. I tried the cut and got an uneven cutting width, about four times the thickness of the blade. I slowly turned the wheels and watched the unevenness of the blade. It turned out that the blade flexes in the common area of the weld, causing it to wobble as that section passes the guide bearings. The result is a frayed oversized cut and what appears to be noise in the guide bearings (which will likely damage the bearings very soon). Completely useless and going in the trash.
