I bought this humidifier because I found it nice and portable between office and bedroom. The first night I ran it with intermittent bursts and it worked fine. The second night I left it running all night, slept 7 hours and the water stopped running. Hasn't worked since then. I assume the system doesn't have an auto shut off function despite being advertised with pictures of sleeping children and that the motor was damaged by lack of water. The jets still work so this is a very nice table fan now.
