Review on 🐠 Aquarium Enhancement: Penn-Plax Bubble-Wall Air Diffuser for Optimal Water Oxygenation by Sarah Riekhof

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Too large. Doesn't work properly anymore.

I have an air hose that goes from my Tetra Whisper to a Plenn Plax bubble wall for my 10 gallon tank. It works great! However, the bladder wall is too large. The description says it "fits a 10 gallon aquarium". This isn't exact as there are two 14-inch bubble sticks. I only have one air diffuser in my tank and it fits just right. But it works and it's cheap! What more do you want? a regular 38 cent goldfish and a calico fantail in a 10 gallon tank. I know it's small for 5 fish, but college rules say students are not allowed to have an aquarium larger than 10 gallons in the dorms. My goldfish are happy and love playing in the bubbles. It adds a lot of oxygen to the aquarium (which is necessary for such a small tank). Before I installed the air pump, my fish were fighting for air at the top of the tank and their fins were flat. stopped breathing and their fins went up immediately after installing the filter. I strongly recommend everyone to install a similar setting for their aquarium. Update 10/20: I downgraded the stars from 4 to 3. Why? Because after a few days, one side of the tube stopped working. ly brings it back to what it was on day one. For the price I think it's ok. Update 2/4/14: Doesn't work anymore.
