This is a fairly affordable air filter considering the features: true HEPA, UV-C, and a fan that is adjustable from near silent to helicopter takeoff. It also features a nice color-changing backlight, which is very nice to look at (but can be turned off if you wish). The controls are a touchscreen with clickable buttons that work great. Here's the catch: each key makes a high-pitched beep when pressed. When switched off, the device emits an even longer and louder beep, as if screaming that it wants to stay awake. And when you turn it back on, all settings are reset (low power, lights on, UV-C off). I'm also concerned about UV safety. Even small amounts of UV radiation can cause eye damage. How much UV radiation does an open design emit? The manual that came with the device doesn't say anything about it. (The UV lamp is off by default, so this is only an issue if you press that particular button.) One more thing, low cost is only low when replacement filters are available at a reasonable price. At the time of writing these filters are nowhere to be seen, leaving a lot of uncertainty as to how good this device really is.
