I'm usually reluctant to buy similar third-party electrical components, especially the sensor for the camera module, which is so important to the overall architecture. But I was so frustrated with how difficult it is to get focus on a standard Raspberry Pi camera module that I decided to give it a go. I'm glad I did. Not only is it much, much easier to focus than the real thing, but the image quality is significantly better - probably due to the higher quality lens in this part.
