Our dog has a medical condition that requires a pill be given one hour before meals every 12 hours. We bought this feeder with the hopes it would be an inexpensive way to sleep in on the weekends rather than get up early to keep her pill schedule. The first time I tested it out I set the timer to one hour. One side popped about three hours later, the other side popped sometime in the middle of the night. After testing the unit exactly once, the left side no longer stays closed, so it’s functionally a single unit with a grossly unpredictable timer. Not helpful at all for keeping a strict pill schedule.
