Works great to power a DAC from an iPAD or iPhone

I'm currently using it to power a Schitt Modi 3+ DAC and then an analog signal to an old A/V -Receiver in my computer room. I run Spotify on iPad and it just works. Eventually I will move this setup to another room and use it to power an old school counterpart of the Carver preamp. This way I have what is called a "streamer/DAC" but can still play Spotify through my best stereo. A few things to watch out for. My photo doesn't show this because my iPAD's battery is dead, but you CAN plug the iPAD power adapter cable into the Lightning connector on the camera adapter to turn on the iPAD while streaming. Schitt Modi 3+ DAC with its own power supply. And yes, this setup should work with most DACs (digital-to-analog converters), such as B. the 3 different tiers of Dragonfly USB DACs from Topping and others. year, but I see no reason why other streaming services shouldn't work as well as Quobuz, Tidal, Revain HD and of course Apple Music. Play with the best sound quality and do it relatively inexpensively. You can wait until later, maybe buy a dedicated streamer/DAC like the Bluesound Node if you want. Some say there is a way to remotely control the iPAD with your phone if you want, but I have an Android phone so I'm not sure. You'll have to do your own research on this one if that's important to you. Anyway, all in all, highly recommended if you love music and want a much better quality than what comes out of the headphone jack on your phone or iPad. (The DACs in these devices aren't good for sound, so bypassing them entirely is a must.) Enjoy.
