. I save yourself some time and say yes, it's definitely worth the money. I work with leather for a living and have been through a lot of bumps. Really nice CS Osborne, fancy German Knippex and $12 Chinese ones that look exactly like this. That is the difference. Standard hole punches just don't give you the leverage you need for thicker materials like leather, or for clean holes in fine-grained materials. CS Osborne and Knippex fall into this category. They are good, strong but not suitable for thicker materials. I bought my last sprinkler about five years ago and was so spoiled by how easy it was to use. It recently became dull (unfortunately you can't replace the ends) so I bought another one. I saved money and bought a Chinese knockoff that had good reviews. The grips were HUGE compared to the Sprenger. Made for a giant. Also, everything was flimsy and the end wasn't clean. I ended up breaking it by puncturing my skin a few weeks after purchasing it. Sprenger is a workhorse. I've flashed everything from leather to 1/4" thick ABS every week for the last five years and it's only now beginning to fade. The price is high, but I know without a doubt it will survive every hit.
