While I'm not a fan of carrying a radio, I had to order a bunch (30) for the staff, myself included. These radios work great in a big, heavy, brick and steel high school that's beating cell phone reception attempts. Versatile and intuitive frequency/channel/group selection and easy cloning are some of the great features of these radios. After a full day of use, I've only lost a battery bar at the end of the day, and these Motorola radios are solidly built, so I know they're durable enough for long trips. These compact and lightweight radios are just right for school or business.
