Light brass nuts, not solid brass
Yes they are brass plated. They weigh less than their hard steel counterparts and feel like plastic. They're not plastic, but they don't feel heavier than steel either. (Brass is heavier than steel.) If you really need a few grams of difference between steel and brass, like I do, you'll be disappointed. I had to deduct two stars for the description, not to mention that they are brass plated.
