My 7 year old grandson loves to make things. He has a technical mind so he loves Lego and learning how things work and he also loves origami, drawing, playdough etc. When I saw this glowing board I thought he would like it because it shows interest in drawing and his has skills. Staying at an intermediate level with the origami project, so I bought it for him for his seventh birthday. He absolutely loves it. He uses it almost every day. He takes it to the car. Keeping track of favorite things really helps him develop his drawing skills. If there is someone in your life who shares these qualities with my grandson then this would probably be the PERFECT gift for them. I also bought the carrying case that came with it.
