cheap thin very thin plastic. The included crayons are 3 inch long crayons, just like on a golf course. I do not recommend this. Not what I expected for $25.

My grandniece simply loves this light box. She is 6 years old and loves to draw and paint. Plain old carbon paper works well. She travels back and forth between her mother, father and grandparents in neighboring houses, so she can easily take this toy with her. I sew a case to protect and store everything together.

This is not a review of the actual product as it is a gift from Santa Claus. Let's just say that's how it was delivered. And my kids saw it! It's not just a Christmas present, it should be from Santa. There is no cover on the box. I was very upset to say the least.

It was a great success. The only problem was that there are only 10 tracks which goes by very quickly with small children. I wish Crayola had extra packaging with extra paper and tracking items. He could find other tracing paper and books to keep track of, but I had to jump around to get them. It was awkward to give this gift that lasted.

This is great for my calligraphy class! I'm sure I could have paid a lot more but decided to try this first. I have a very small light box that I bought years ago for paper crafts, but it's so small it's very tiring to use. He has a good work surface and I know he will do whatever I need.

It is a good item to develop creativity and hand-eye coordination in kids. I ordered them for two 5 year olds and a 7 year old grandchild. It's great that they include tracking templates in the set. The paper (8 1/2 x 11) fits perfectly and stays in place while the child tries to work. (I had an old backlit drawing board from the 70's and the kids had trouble moving the paper.) Both boys and girls seem to enjoy this activity.

First, it could be brighter. You need to be in a fairly dark room for it to work well.
