It only covers minor scratches but not a rash.

Not worth the money! I agree with other reviewers that this just makes it less visible and only at a distance, but doesn't solve the problem. After watching a youtube video I figured the road rash I was having on the rim would be best resolved by using filler cement and then spray painting paint all over the rim. This product is pointless, it reminds me of a nail kit with filler, silver nail polish and epoxy glue. However, it is very easy to use.
