Although they are more expensive than branded terrarium lid clamps, I was curious to see if this style would work with my homemade acrylic lid which fits snugly in the black grooved glass tank. I had to use this clip upside down so part of the clip would stick to the bottom of the rim of my tank and the glue would stick to the top of the acrylic lid. I'm glad I found a solution for my homemade lid. Just make sure, if you have the same setup as mine, that you put that sticky part as low as possible to put as much tension on the rim as possible.
