I did not use these collars immediately after giving birth but the velcro on the ones originally purchased did not hold up well as I had to adjust to my size. I started using them at about 4 weeks and they have held up very well, they were easy to adjust as the puppies grew and were still in good shape when the puppies went to new homes.
