My electrician replaced a couple of lightbulbs for me when the one over the bath went out. He said it was just a bad connection, but since it's above the water source, it had to be a solid block, and he couldn't replace it with the same bracket (so you just had to unscrew the bulb). However, he said that solid blocks of LED bulbs will last much longer than any incandescent bulb anyway. The new furniture was much more attractive than the old tin cans in the rest of the house. Seeing how easy it was to swap out the mount, I lowered it a bit and took a picture of the label with my phone. After a little research on the internet, I decided to replace the lights throughout the house. We have 60 fixed cans and three directional cans. It was surprisingly easy to install the new lights, ordering them online and doing them yourself saved me a lot of money. No wiring required. My husband was surprised when he came home from work and they were all done.
