I've searched and tried for 5 years for a food SOFT enough, JUICY enough, and NUTRITIONALLY complete for my toothless Smoky boy who lost all of his teeth due to eosinophilic stomatitis. Most "wet cat foods" have gravy like juice, but the solids are hard, I.e., cooked protein. And the pates' are soft, but not juicy. Either way, he could never get a grip on his food. My cat loves this flavor of the Weruva Slide N' Serve with high quality chicken being the first ingredient. You can tell the slide n' serve line provides plenty of hydration when you open the pouch which is critical especially for those kitties that struggle with urinary or kidney issues.

The product itself is fine but the handling of it was terrible. The boxes are thin and soft-ish cardboard with no taping or seal. I ordered two boxes. One was fine. The other had an entire side torn out and two pouches were leaking. They were put into a simple plastic envelope bag that ebay sends out with no padding. So now I have two pouches I can't use and I had to wipe cat food drippings off my floor. So that was nice.

Hard to rank a food based on Twinkie's assessment. She often just takes a bite or two and leaves. It's annoying, because tossing the food is expensive. However, she's a lot worse with the prescription food that the vet prescribes (which, based on Twinkie's behavior it probably doesn't smell good or taste so fine, because she seems to only eat what she has to (as in starved). Cats eat by texture, if your kitty won’t eat this it’s probably due to them not liking the texture. Our ckd 15 yr old cat originally wouldn’t eat this. She likes the texture of pate not shreds and we couldn’t figure out why she wouldn’t eat it. When cats got older they also lose their sense of smell.
